The Anfi Palace Mürren (1650m) is situatedon a sheltered, sunny balcony, high above Lauterbrunnen Valley, just beyond Piz Gloria (2970m) and 18km from Interlaken. The 3 peaks of Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau can be seen and appear almost close enoughto touch. The village of Mürren is one of the few spa resorts worldwide without any car traffic, accessible only by cableway in 10 minutes or by train in 20 minutes. In this traditional and famous winter and summer destination, one will find numerousski lifts, cross-country skiing, ice ring,curling rinks, impressive alpine sports centre, winter and summer hiking paths.

Resort consists of hotel units for 2 with double bed & bathroom (some with balcony),coffee maker & kettle (no cooking facilities). All rooms have carpeting, radio clock, minibar, phone, satellite TV,video and hairdryer.The 2bed units have double beds and sofa beds with either 1 or2 bathrooms. The 1bed units have a double bed and a sofa bed with 1 bathroom. 1 & 2 bed units are equipped as hotel units but also have a CD player and partial kitchenswith 2 ring hob & a microwave. Pets are allowed. Voltage: 220V. A refundable deposit is required upon arrival (CHF500),payable by cash or credit card. A tourist tax is also payable. Reception is open 24 hours. Facilities: disco (only in winter),restaurant & bar. The resort is connected to a huge sports centre with a swimming pool, children's pool, whirlpool & open air ice rink - all free of charge (only available during winter). Fitness centre includes squash, solarium, sauna, tennis (charged for). As you cannot reach Murren by car, the resort may not be suitable forthe elderly or handicapped. A cable car tothe resort operates every 30 minutes (during low season only).

Directions

BY AIR: Int`l airport: Zurich, 180km, Basel, 140km, Bern, 70km. BY ROAD: From Basel or Zurich take A2 towards Bern, thenfollow A6 to Interlaken, take exit Wilder-swil, follow to Lauterbrunne. Either park in car park at Lauterbrunnen and take the Murrenbahn to Murren (30mins) or drive on to Stechelberg (5km) and take Schilthorn cable way up to Murren (10mins). BY TRAIN:Take an international train to Interlaken Ost, change to the Berner Oberland Bahn toLauterbrunnen. Change either to the Murrenbahn (just opposite the station) or catch the postbus to Stechelberg and travel with the Schilthornbahn to Murren. Please note that the last cable car from Stechelberg to Murren leaves at 23.25.
