Il Poggio is set in San Casciano Dei Bagni, a small medieval village surroundedby beautiful countryside with rolling hills ideal for countryside horse-riding or mountain biking, both of which are available from the resort. Agriturismo in Toscana is becoming more popular and we now have the first timeshare resort which is part of an existing agriturismo. Take an unforgettable excursion to Siena, Pisa,Firenze, Volterra, San Gimignano, Arezzo, Uccellina natural Park, the isle of Giglio, the thermal springs of Chianciano,Saturnia and Assisi. Montepulciano and Pienza are well known cities to visit.

Resort offers 1bed units for 4 with doublebed and 2 single sofa beds; 2bed units for6 with double bed, twin beds and sofa bed;3bed units for 8 with double bed, twin beds and 2 single sofa beds. All units have satellite TV, phone, heating, fire- place and mini kitchen with 4 ring hob andfull oven. Cleaning and towel change is twice a week. Some units accessed by stairs. Small pets are allowed to stay fora fee but must be suitably restrained. A deposit is required, credit cards are accepted. On-site are barbecues, bicycles,car parking, games room, horse riding and laundry facilities with tokens. Car hire is ESSENTIAL in this area. Reception hours: 0800-1300 and 1430-1930. CHECK-IN IS NOT PERMITTED OUTSIDE THESE HOURS. IT IS IMPERATIVE TO CONTACT THE RESORT IN ADVANCE IF ARRIVING LATE. A laundry service is available on request. Directions

AIRPORT: Firenze Airport, 160 Kms. Rome Fiumicino International Airport 160km. BY CAR: Take the western motorway and then gosouth on the motorway A1 towards Roma. Exit at Chiusi/Chianciano. Turn left to Sarteano. In Sarteano turn left just before the petrol station/ main square to San Casciano dei Bagni. 600m further turn left again. For next 14 Km be aware that the road is very windy over a mountain pass. At the T junction in San Casciano turn right. After 3.5 Km bear right to Celle sul Rigo. In the centre of the village, follow the signpost for Il Poggio on the left hand side. Take the upper road up the hill to the resort.
