Palazzo del Giglio is situated in the heart of Venice and offers visitors the opportunity to see St Mark's Square, Rialto Bridge and the lesser known parts of the city. The lagooncalled the Lido, is an island which offerssporting facilities such as golf, tennis and a beach with the added attraction of a casino. Other trips are to the islands of Murano, famous for glass blowing factories, Burano, for the lace, and Torcello for its expensive restaurants. The festivals during Carnival time and historical regatta are the highlights on the Venetian calendar.

The resort comprises studio units for 3 with double or twin beds and single sofa bed, 1br units for 4 with double or twin beds and double sofa bed, 1br units for 5 with twin beds, one single and one double sofa bed and 2br units for 4 with double and twin beds. All units have satelite TV,telephone, heating, air conditioning and partial kitchens with two or four electrichobs (units 306 and 309 have NO kitchen facilities). All bathrooms have a bath tubwith built in jacuzzi and shower unit. Access to units is via stairs or lift. A refundable deposit is required upon check-in (credit cards accepted). Directions

BY AIR: Venice - 11km BY ROAD: There is a regular bus serivce from the airport to Piazzale Roma. From Piazzale Roma or the railway station take the vaporetto (water bus) line 1 in the direction of Lido. Get off at stop 11, or S.Maria del Giglio. Go along a narrow alley for approx 50m, until you arrive in a square, Campo S Maria del Giglios. The resort Palazzo del Giglio is on the right hand side of the square and looks like a normal Venetian house. A car is not recommended in Venice as parking is very expensive. BY TRAIN: The station is in the town centre and the Vaporetto stops on the Canal Grande.
