| Rutland, England's smallest county is an area of broad, rolling countryside and picturesque villages. It is here that Barnsdale Country Club is situated overlooking Rutland Water. Accommodation includes suites within the old hunting lodge and original stables as well as timber framed lodges dotted around the beautiful landscaped grounds. Facilities include a well equipped indoor leisure centre, outdoor tennis courts, bowls, pitch and putt course, boules and mini golf. Use of a car is highly recommended. |

| Units comprise studios sleeping 2 with a double bed, 1 bedroom sleep 4 with double bed and sofa bed, 2 bed units sleep 4 withdouble bed and twin or additional double, 2 bed sleep 6 with double bed, twin beds and a sofa bed and 3 bed sleep 6 with double bed and twin beds. All units have fully fitted kitchens with washing machines, some have waste disposal units and most have dishwashers. Each unit is equipped with a TV, video & music centre. No pets are allowed, resort will accept guide dogs.A fee is charged for telephone and a standing charge made for utilities Cots are available for babies and young children. A car is essential to enjoy the area. A credit card imprint required on arrival. Access to units via stairs. The stable units (54-57&74-77) reflect a cosy 'English Cottage' feel. Units 56,76 74 have double beds. Units 64 & 65 have 2 flights of stairs, units 55,74 & 77 do not have dishwashers. The Exton units are most suitable for 2 adults and 2 children. The Burley units most suitable for 4 adults, 2 children. Please leave the units tidy on check-out. If arriving late please notify resort in advance. |

| BY AIR: East Midlands - 45 miles, Birmingham - 65 miles, Heathrow - 125m. BY CAR: From Birmingham, head for M1 southbound. Exit at junction 21 & follow the Leicester ring road & signs for A47. Take the A47 to Uppingham & turn left for A6003 to Oakham. At Oakham turn right ontoA606 for Stamford. Barnsdale is 4 miles along on the right, signposted as 'BARNSDALE HALL HOTEL'. LONDON HEATHROW: Take the M25 clockwise tojunction 23, turning off onto th A1(M). Keep on this road (it becomes the A1) as far as Stamford. Take the A606 off the A1 signed Oakham/ Rutland Water. Continue through villages of Empingham and WhitwellBarnsdale is 1 mile further on the left. |
