Description

The resort is situated on a hill-side veryclose to the famous downhill course 'Planai' and only 1km above the town of Schladming. The Dachstein-Tauern winter sports area offers not only skiing, but also tobogganing, ice skating, and curling. The area is also attractive during the summer, you can go walking, biking and rafting. Even skiing is possible during the summer at the Dachstein glacier, 3000m above sea level. The resort offers many activities and there is also a heated indoor pool, sauna, restaurant and bar on-site.

The units are bright and modern in typicalAustrian chalet style. The resort comprises studios, 1bed and 2bed units. All have partial kitchens with a microwave(no oven). Cots are available for a fee by prior request. Units 102,108,109,202, 302,402,408 have bunk beds in the 2nd bedroom (more suitable for families). Units 17,31,37 have some stairs to the 2nd bedroom. Unit 62 has no balcony. A tourist tax is payable per person, per night. Unit occupancy must be adhered to, there are no exceptions for children of any age. However, you can contact the resort in writing prior to arrival to request, the resort will then advise if this is possible and a charge will be madefor the extra bed and a charge per extra guest, per week. The "Amadeus" shop in therestaurant is open 0800-1030 & 1700-2200. In spring and autumn the restaurant is closed for 14 days. The bar is open daily in winter. Daily room service is available for a fee on request. Check-in is Saturdays (exceptions 15,22,29 Dec & 5 Jan). Please call the resort in advance if you expect to arrive late. Check-in 1600 and check-out 1000.

BY AIR: Salzburg 90km, Munich 260km BY CAR: Travel towards Austria/Salzburg. Take the A10 south for Villach. Leave the A10 at exit 63 (after 57), marked Radstadt/Altenmark/Graz, B320. Continue until Radstadt and turn right for Graz. After 20km turn right for Schladming West. After five minutes, turn right at the roundabout for Rohrmoos. Alpine Club is 1km up the hill on the left. When driving in Austria you must display a Vignette (provided with hire cars or available at petrol stations). Snow chains may be necessary during winter. Journey from Salzburg airport approx 1 hour and from Munich airport 3 hours. Train services and taxis are available.
