You'll find Barrier Island Station nestledamid sand dunes and sea oats. One of the northernmost communities on the Outer Banks, Duck offers some of the last remaining unspoiled beachfronts on the Eastern seaboard. Both the Atlantic Ocean and the Currituck Sound offer excellent water-sports opportunities. The resort hasmany amenities. When it's time for a change from the oceanfront, you can swim in the indoor or outdoor pools, play a setof tennis, or just relax in the whirlpool,sauna, or steam room.

All units are air-conditioned and have a television, washer/dryer and a microwave oven. Most units have a full kitchen withstandard-size appliances and a dishwasher.Some units have a partial kitchen with a 2-burner hot plate, a wet bar, sink, and mini refrigerator. In addition, some units have a fireplace and/or whirlpool tub. No elevators and there are many stairs to some units. Directions

The nearest major airport is in Norfolk, VA., 75 miles away. From the airport, take I-64 E, to Rte 168 South, then Hwy 158 East toward Kitty Hawk. The resort is located within the Village of Duck. When you cross the Wright Memorial Bridge, get in your left hand lane and go to the fifthstop light. Turn left on Rte 12 N. Go approximately 8 miles to Barrier Island Station on the right side of the road. Check in at Owner Services. Late arrivalsmay pick up keys at the guard station.
