NorthShore at Chautauqua is located on thegrounds of the Chautauqua Institution, a Victorian village along the shores of LakeChautauqua. In the summer, Chautauqua Institution is a closed cultural communityand a center for the arts. During the remaining months of the year, Chautauqua and the surrounding areas offer fall foliage touring, antiquing, winery tours, and cross-country skiing. Downhill action at three ski areas, The Holiday Valley Resort in Ellicottville, Cockaigne Ski area in Cherry Creek, and Peek'n Peak Resort in Clymer are within an easy drive of the resort.

Each townhome at Northshore at Chautauqua is air-conditioned, has a fireplace, a 1- person jetted tub in the master bath, 2 televisions, 1 VCR & 1 DVD player, a full kitchen with microwave & dishwasher. All townhomes are 2BR OCC: Max 8/Pri 6 and have 2 1/2 baths, 1 queen bed, 2 twin beds1 queen sleep sofa and 1 trundle bed. Each townhome has a private phone number. Call resort if you need the number prior to your stay. No townhome is handicap accessible and it is necessary to climb stairs to access the unit. It is not possible to pull your car right up to the townhome to unload your belongings. The parking lot is adjacent to the complexhowever you will need to use a walkway with steps to access the townhomes. There are stairs leading to the upper & lower level of each unit as well as out- side the building. NO PETS ALLOWED. The resort has mandatory summer fees to bepaid at main gate of Chautaqua Institute (late June through late Aug). 2006 rate isUS$300 per person/week & 1 parking pass isUS$42. The greater Buffalo/Niagra Falls Airport is 90 miles away. Take I-90 West to Exit 60 (toll road), turn left (East) onto Rte 394. Travel approximately 12 miles on Rte394 to check-in office called Vacation Properties (look for RCI flag), left side,1 mile past Chautauqua Institution. Officeaddress: 4478 West Lake Road, Mayville, NY 14757. Check-in time is from 4-5pm on check-in day. If late arrival anticipatedplease call 800/344-2198 to arrange for key pick up.
